A full carbon redition of the Schemp Hirth Cirrus. Span is 4.47M and the wing has a 9% thick section. Therefore there is no built in airbake in this super thin wing. Instead the wing is designed for crow braking with the aileron uninvolved, to ensure good aileron control on the approach, Instead a flaperon between the flap and aileron performs the upward braking function. The model is designed from the outset to accept a FES system as an option, and is the ideal platform for this type of operation. Only the cockpit area of the fuseleage is plain glass for radio reception.
An option for a hard shell carbon wing is also available. Another superb model from the FW stable.
